He is also a trusted adviser to all levels of internal and external leadership, including C-suite executives, navigating them through sourcing and negotiation engagements in various key supply chain functions such as Global Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Development and Global Delivery . He has been instrumental in developing robust governance models across organizations to manage the spend and procure to pay process more effectively.

He is presently working with IBM India Pvt Ltd, as Geo Sourcing Leader – Asia Pacific, Facilities Sourcing Services. Satya has managed all aspects of supply chain solutions for 34 strategic outsourcing (SO) accounts for India-South Asia, as Country Manager, IBM procurement.
In his prior stint with Tata Group ,Satya was responsible for sourcing of engineering commodities in Tata West Asia FZE, Dubai to support clients across Middle East and North Africa . He has also managed sourcing of engineering commodities in Tata International, India to support clients across Australia-New Zealand (ANZ) & Middle East region.

· As Procurement Brand Manager for Global Research Labs, I was responsible for handling governance related procurement issues for the IBM research .
· Responsible for heading the Mergers & Acquisitions part for US procurement- lead a team of people who are responsible for smooth transitioning of M&A clients along with their vendors.
· Responsible to drive the team to deliver aggressive business outcomes and financial results which enable revenue and enhance IBM's profitability; deliver agreed-to quarterly and annual measurements of Expense, Procurement Strategic Value, Cost Take Out, Average Payment Terms, and Supplier Diversity metrics.
