I am an entrepreneur and business leader with 20+ years experience in building bootstrapped businesses and growing them from '0' to '1' to '10'. Have successfully led 3 start ups in the areas of technology, sales and design and have a knack for team building, revenue growth, resource planning and management and the ability to cultivate 'C' level relationships. I bring a unique blend of entrepreneurial, people management and program management skills while my core competence is in the field of design and project management.


Currently I am AGM at Urban Ladder heading the sales and design teams of the Interiors business. Urban Ladder is a B2C omni-channel furniture and home decor retailer which is a part of the Reliance Retail group. I am responsible for the P/L of this business arc, business process setting, stakeholder management, customer acquisitions and leading the sales and design teams towards profitability.


I was the co-founder and head of HR & Admin for a bootstrapped tech start-up e3Next. e3NexT was a B2B enterprise software business offering cloud native omni-channel products (acquired by Blinkit). I was owing all functions of team building and business support. Bootstrapped from a zero to thirty people tech team, I took primary responsibility of hiring, setting up the people function, all regulatory compliances and finally led the successful merger with blinkit. Blinkit, a unicorn, is a pioneer and leading quick commerce venture globally.


I was the founder of an interior design firm iDesignX which provided design to build solutions for residential and commercial interiors. We executed 100+ interior projects in Bangalore and I was leading the business and operations teams.

Assistant General Manager

Urban Ladder- Reliance Retail
01.2023 - Current

AGM at Urban Ladder heading the sales and design teams of the Interiors business. Urban Ladder is a B2C omni-channel retailer which is a part of the Reliance Retail group. Urban Interiors was started 2 years ago as a new business vertical in Urban Ladder to cater to the increasing interior design market. Have been responsible for the P/L of this business arc, grown the team from 5 to 30 people and increased the business revenue from 0.5 million to over 6 million currently. Successfully launched the interiors business in 2 new cities and increased the customer base to over 150 in the last 1.5 years.


Key Achievements

  • Built a scalable, efficient and productive business from grounds up that cut across customer acquisition, design, quotation, deal closure and execution.
  • Managing an annual business of around 15 million and grew the revenue by 2.5X
  • Developed marketing plan for the month for Lead generation, offers to be run for achieving business targets. Develop market intelligence for targeting right Micro markets Successfully drove sales process change
  • Set up the SOP for the sales and design teams to increase productivity and efficiency resulting in a 2.5X growth of revenue
  • Built and leading a team of 30+ members across pre sales, sales and design verticals and a network of channel partners, builders, vendors and project managers

Our products powered up highly scaled digital commerce businesses of companies like Albertsons, Urban ladder, blinkit, D-Mart, Janio-Asia. Bootstrapped from a zero to thirty people tech team, I took primary responsibility of hiring, setting up the people function, all regulatory compliances and finally led the successful merger with blinkit. Blinkit, a unicorn, is a pioneer and leading quick commerce venture globally.


Key Achievements

  • Built a scalable, efficient and productive tech team from grounds up to lead a successful and cash flow positive business
  • Worked with HR and compliance agencies to set up the company in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Indian governance
  • As head of recruitment, I was able to successfully acquire over 200 resumes for the various tech functions and led the R1 interview rounds with them, resulting in the hiring of a highly qualified and productive team.
  • Was instrumental in setting up the workspace and the spatial needs of a growing team by setting up the co-working space to start with and then an independent office facility for the team

Founder of the interior design firm iDesignX which provides design to build solutions for residential and commercial interiors. Our company has executed 100+ interior projects in the last 6 years ranging from 1,000sft apartments to 4,000 sft villas. Also did commercial projects for start-up offices and a salon.


Key Achievements

  • Built a bootstrapped, cash flow positive and scaled up business from grounds up that took on turnkey projects that cut across customer acquisition, design, quotation, deal closure and execution.
  • Build service capability for woodwork, false ceiling, electrical and lighting, plumbing, tiling and granite work, fabrication work, fittings, paint and polish, furniture, furnishings and decor.
  • I have built, trained and led a team of 4 designers, 3 project managers and a network of 50+ vendors for design and build solutions of over 100 projects of various sizes.
  • Built very strong client and vendor relationships and network resulting in repeat customers and client references

  • Relationship building with clients on one to one basis. Direct selling and project pitch with presentations and design ideas
  • Handling and supervising interior projects from the initial space planning to design and specifications, cost estimations, materials selections and order, site execution, quality checks and final hand over

DWP Interics Design Consultants is a Multinational Organization which is headquartered in Bengaluru and has offices in Pune, Mumbai, Toronto and Dubai. It is a dynamic company operating in the area of Commercial Interior design, facility planning, project management, 3D visualization and graphic design.


Joined DWP as an Interior Architect and was promoted to Head of Project Management team and Associate Architect within 6 months of joining.


Key Achievements

  • Led a team of 10 Project Managers to successfully complete 30+ commerical interior projects ranging from 10,000 sft to over 3,00,000 sft
  • Created a SOP for the Project Management team to streamline the internal as well as client facing processes for a more transparent and effective management of the projects.
  • As Associate Architect I led a teams of designers and project managers to successfully complete interior projects for a large number on MNC's in Bangalore and Delhi

  • Bangalore International Airport- Was appointed the design head and quality manager for the construction of the Bangalore International airport. Designed the commercial spaces in the terminal building, the toilets interiors, the main structure column design and did weekly quality checks on the construction of the interiors.

Joined as a Design Intern at DWP Interics Delhi office. Started working on the interior fit outs for GE Call Center in Gurgaon with an area of over 2 lacs sft.


Got promoted to a Interior Architect within 6 months. Led and successfully executed interior projects for a number of US based call centers and multinational banks.

Key Achievements

  • As a fresher I independently led a team of designers and project managers to successfully complete the project for a leading Multinational bank.
  • Complete ownership of setting up more than 30 ATM's for a multinational bank in Delhi NCR region
  • Collaborated with the Bangalore and Mumbai teams on a project which spanned all 3 cities
  • Was called the 'Firefighter' of the team as could successfully mitigate project risks and help to quickly resolve project issues
