• Responsible for complete mechanical engineering including vendor review engineering.
• Inter-discipline co-ordination and precise vendor communication - Strong Expediting skills.
• Co-ordinate with project site & help site commissioning activities.
• Hand on experience with P & ID, pipe sizing calculation, Technical specification, Bid evaluation, vendor drawing reviews, and preparation of system description.
• Complete experience with cooling water cycle & cooling tower.
• Optimization of BOQ, Exploring new options and cost cutting methods to minimize cost
• Tendering and execution for BOP mechanical system addressing technical deviation/clarification, system technical write up for bid proposal stage.
• Technical offer evaluation by preparation of technical clarifications and bid clarification meetings.
• Sourcing/ expediting of documents and across the table approvals for vendor.
• Review engineering for Aux boiler packages.
• Technical Bid Evaluation for various mechanical packages like pumps, cooling tower, heat exchangers etc.
• Preparation of data sheets for horizontal & vertical Pumps.
• Preparation for complete sizing calculation, design criteria for fuel oil system.
• Sizing calculation/thickness calculation for Fuel oil storage tanks as per API 650.
• Review engineering for crane & hoist.
• Chair inter-discipline project meetings for coordination, review and checking.
• Participate in project and vendor kick off meetings.
• Vendor Drawing Review for cooling tower, Pumps etc
• Preparation for complete design criteria, System description, sizing calculation for Main steam system & Aux steam system.
• Preparation for complete design criteria, System description, sizing calculation for Circulating cooling water System.
• Preparation for complete design criteria, System description, sizing calculation for Closed cooling water System
• Review of vendor drawings/documents for CWP, ACWP, CCWP, PHE etc
• Preparation of complete network analysis for closed cooling water (CCW) system, by using Fathom Software.
• Basic design for cooling tower & review of cooling tower vendor drawings.
• Review of vendor drawings/documents during bidding stage. Conduct meeting with vendor, client/consultant & prepare the technical bid evaluation report
• Coordination with various departments like civil, C & I, electrical to complete the system & package engineering within stipulated time.
