- Assist Quantity Surveyor expert or any other expert and Team Leader in the preparation of detailed block costs, cost breakdown for Design-Built Contracts.
- Assist Quantity Surveyor expert or any other expert and Team Leader in the verification of extra item of works, bill verifications for the contracts, variations, causes of variations etc. for all the subprojects.
- Assist Quantity Surveyor expert or any other expert and Team Leader in review technical specifications and suggest if these are aligned with item of works and all costs are built-in suitably.
- Seek budgetary rates for equipment, instruments from vendors as maybe required to work out the realistic market rates and adopt them suitably.
- Review submission of rates submitted by Contractor for extra items as applicable.
- Assist necessary technical specifications for carrying out any works.
- Directly supervise and monitor the contractor's activity to ensure satisfactorily standards, quality assurance, control of workmanship and progress;
- Taking measurements for the purpose of certifying payments and claims;
- Quality and quantity control of the materials and works;
- Coordination with the relevant authorities on site during construction;
- Keep daily records of all aspects of their supervision works;
- Approve the materials and equipment brought by the contractor;
- Prepare and implement any minor adjustment required to the drawings and plans;
- Check monthly measurement of work and certify payment;
- Coordinate with other specialists such as environment, resettlement, community development, public awareness and training;
- Ensure co-ordination between contracts and contractors, that the authorities and the public are continually informed and consulted on the works program and of the pipe laying in particular;
- Ensure that complaints from the public and other stakeholders are attended to expeditiously and take the necessary action to resolve any conflicts arising;
- Ensure that any dispute arising with day-to-day work is resolved at site level;
- Any other activities assigned by the Team Leader/company.
