Project: EPMC of Catalyst Manufacturing Plant, IOCL.

Responsibilities:

• Review Drawings and Specifications: Interpret structural steel drawings, connection details, and erection plans. Ensure designs conform to codes, standards (e.g., AISC, IS codes), and project specifications.
• Management of Site and Surveying Team: Verify dimensions, elevations, and grid lines before steel erection. Set out anchor bolt positions and base plates precisely.
• Foundation Interface: Ensure foundations and base plates are ready before steel erection. Check grouting, bolt tightening, and leveling procedures.
• Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect steel components (beams, columns, braces) upon delivery. Ensure proper welding, bolting, and alignment during installation. Supervise NDT (non-destructive testing) where required.
• Coordination of Erection Activities: Coordinate with steel fabricators and erection teams. Monitor sequence of erection and temporary bracing requirements.
• Daily Update from Supervision Team: Monitor daily progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Troubleshoot issues on-site related to steel fit-up, misalignment, or deviations.
• Lifting and Rigging Oversight: Review lifting plans for large or heavy members. Ensure cranes and rigging are adequate and safely operated.
• Material Management: Track delivery and storage of structural steel components. Ensure materials are protected from damage and corrosion.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain site records: inspection checklists, work permits, daily reports. Support progress billing and as-built documentation.
• Compliance and Permits: Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations. Assist with permit inspections and approvals.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with structural engineers, architects, project managers, and subcontractors. Communicate technical queries (RFIs) and manage approvals.
• Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols during lifting, welding, and working at height. Conduct toolbox talks and hazard identification exercises.

1) 1st Project- CGS Connectivity to M/s IOAGPL- Burdwan, West Bengal. (Gas Pipeline Project of Gail India Ltd.)

2) 2nd Project -CGS Connectivity to M/s BPCL-Chatra, Jharkhand. (Gas Pipeline Project of Gail India Ltd.)

Responsibilities:

• Site Management: Site grading, clearing, and levelling at SV station locations. Identify and mitigate challenges like soft soil, water logging, or rocky terrain.
• Construction Works: Construct RCC foundations and plinths for Sectionalizing valves, Piping supports (pipe racks), Instrumentation and electrical panels, Boundary walls and gate structures. Ensure concrete quality (mix design, slump test, curing) meets design and IS standards.
• Structural Works: Execute works for Valve chamber covers, Drainage systems, Access roads and pavements, Control rooms or shelters (if applicable).
• QA/QC & Standards, Drawing & Specification Compliance: Review and interpret civil drawings (GA, RCC, architectural) and BOQs. Ensure construction is as per approved design and industry codes (IS, BIS, IRC).
• Material Inspection and Testing: Approve and inspect construction materials: cement, steel, aggregates, bricks, etc. Conduct and witness lab/field tests.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain quality assurance protocols and rectify non-conformities. Ensure waterproofing, backfilling, and finishing are properly done.
• Coordination With Multidisciplinary teams: Coordinate with Mechanical engineers for valve and piping foundation locations. Electrical/Instrumentation teams for cable trenching and earth works. HSE teams for safety during excavation and concreting.
• Subcontractor dealing: Deal with civil subcontractors and skilled labour. Verify that the workforce adheres to safety and quality requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain daily progress reports for excavation, concreting, shuttering, etc. Prepare measurement sheets, material reconciliation, and billing support documents. Update as-built civil drawings and site photographs.
• Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Implement trench safety, barricading, and PPE enforcement. Avoid third-party utility damage (especially in ROW excavation).

Responsibilities:

• Align sub-contractors and workforce activities to avoid delays.
• Coordinate daily and weekly work schedules.
• Monitor and manage the delivery and use of construction materials on site.
• Communicate with project managers, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
• Maintain site diaries and work records.
• Ensure the site complies with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforces safety protocols.
• Permit and Regulatory Coordination: Ensure work aligns with building codes and permits.
• Cost Monitoring: Track labor and material costs to help stay within budget.
• Estimation and costing for Civil Works.
• Project management including site co-ordination.
• Monitoring project progress in line with project schedule and preparing recovery plan whenever required.
• Verification of sub-contractor bill and processing the invoice as per terms and conditions.
