Projects

Experimental investigation on flexural behavior of Ferro cement composite beam., The project concept was to examine the performance of RCC beam strengthened by Ferro cement technique and to compare the flexural behavior of RCC beam with Ferro cement laminated beam. The casting of perfect RCC beam and a Ferro cement which is a welded wire mesh laminated beam is compacted with the mixed materials of OPC(grade53),sand and conforming to zone II of IS 383-1970. Then the mould is removed after 24hrs from the time of casting and the specimens were cured using the gunny bags for 28 days and then as a result of the compression test and the split test Ferro cement laminated beams has a volume fraction(Vr) of 2.192% exhibits an increase of 15% of load carrying capacity with respect to perfect beam. Experimental investigation on effect of fly ash, lime, rice husk on expansive soil for pavement construction., The concept of the project was to find the effect of fly ash, lime and rice husk ash on expansive soil for pavement construction and to compare the experimental results between untreated and treated soil samples. In today scenario, lack pf stable ground for development of infrastructures is very common. So, geotechnical engineers explored possibilities of solid wastes to improve the ground before construction. Namely like rice husk ash, fly ash and lime.
