- Arrangement of raw materials i.e. Castings, hardware items indents & machining of various components required for assembly.
- To prepare standards cost estimation of vendorized parts.
- Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials in timely and cost effective way, timely manner while maintaining quality standards and specification.
- Follow up/ receiving quotation and making price comparisons.
- Follow up and expedite the delivery.
- Send out RFQ as per planning schedule.
- Often visit suppliers facilities to conduct inspection, performance reviews and ensure the required standards are met.
- Generate purchase order as per requirements, place and confirm order supplier, monitoring until delivery completion.
- Accurately process purchase order timely and effective manner.
- Coordinate with quality and production department with respect to quality of incoming material
- To ensure all necessary documents with delivery of materials and ensure timely GRN.
- Price evolution, cost development, value analysis and negotiation for suppliers.
- Producing reports and statistics using ERP.
- Research, document, and define supplier/material strategy.
- Follow up with vendors for pending purchase order and work order.
- Arranging vehicles for collection from vendors and outgoing material to the vendors, according to material weight.
- Coordinate with GST and accounts departments for billing purpose
- Aware of various processes involved in machining and heat treatment of parts.
- To co-ordinate with design dept. for design change, new product development.
