Conduct preventive maintenance, calibration, AMC,CMC and repair of critical medical devices including ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, and imaging systems.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing expert support for malfunctioning equipment under senior engineering guidance.

Oversee the installation and commissioning of new medical devices, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and operational standards.

Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and prepare detailed reports on equipment status and corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards (IEC, ISO, FDA), and participate in audits to uphold health and safety regulations.

Deliver technical support and training to hospital staff on the

proper use and safety of biomedical equipment.

Manage inventory levels of spare parts and supplies, and oversee the proper disposal of obsolete equipment in line with environmental and safety guidelines.

Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, manage workloads, set performance targets, and conduct evaluations to foster a collaborative work environment.

Develop and manage procurement the departmental budget, perform cost-benefit analyses, and identify cost-saving opportunities in equipment management.

Lead compliance efforts with regulatory requirements, conduct audits, and implement quality assurance programs for biomedical operations.

Evaluate emerging technologies, recommend acquisitions, and develop strategies for sustainable equipment utilization aligned with hospital objectives

Functional test, maintenance and repair of the medical Equipment under the assigned department.

Supervise the installation of new equipment by the company as per the required norms.

Ensure all medical equipment in the assigned department is closely monitored for PPM and calibration and Perform when it required.

Conduct daily rounds to assigned departments and equipment.

Ensure that Break down calls is attended with minimum down time.

Ensure patient Safety to the maximum extent possible by adhering to all applicable regulations, standards and related to clinical studies, patient confidentiality etc.

Reports to Senior Biomedical Technician or assigned Team leader about equipment life expectancy and update required in the assigned area.

Keep in contact with vendors to get proper and timely technical support of equipment.

Ensure that department policies are implemented properly for improving the overall quality.

Carryout all works in accordance with NABH Policies and Iqraa Policies.
