undefined1. Forex and its effects on Agricultural trade post Liberalization: An Empirical Analysis
This was a descriptive study as an independent term paper project in third year as a part of the undergraduate course. It focuses on the trade situations in India after liberalization and its impact on the overall agricultural trade scenario.
Data Analysis and Visualization: The paper analyses the trend in agricultural trade with the help of data from its official site using tables, charts and graphs from MS Excel.
Statistical Modelling: Regression analysis was conducted to test the hypothesis of this paper which attempts to find out the causal relationship between exchange rate and trade balance in agriculture.
2. Gender Bias in Childcare in India
This was an empirical study as a group project in the 4th semester as a part of the postgraduate course. For this paper, parameters for gender discrimination in childcare has been taken under two heads, Breastfeeding and Vaccination. Gender inequality is high amongst children as well as adults.
Data Analysis and Visualization: Following this fact, NFHS-4 (2015-16) data has been used for studying the existence of gender bias in child care in the Indian states and Union territories using Stata and MS Excel.
Statistical Modelling: Regression Analysis using Probit regression model and Poisson count regression model was conducted to test the hypothesis of this paper which attempts to find out how gender bias impacts child health care in major states in India.
