Under Investments I am a part of the Reporting and Analytics team into the Pension Funds, my roles & responsibilities are as below.

• Analysing and checking the valuation and performance data received for any discrepancy by comparing with past data.
• Data manipulation by sorting these at asset class levels, scheme levels and regional levels.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly reports detailing the scheme performance and funding level information and writing commentary highlighting the key factors which are used by Investment consultants and Scheme Trustees for investment objective review and update.
• Calculating performances using TWRR and MWRR and using chain links and price on price to observe for any data discrepancy and raising the same with fund managers.
• Tracking various asset classes like Fixed Income, Equities, LDI (Liability Driven Investments), Alternatives to prepare charts for schemes asset allocations and highlighting any changes impacting the scheme investments.
• Allocating any additional performance requests and reviewing the current reports to check for errors before delivery.
• Prioritising on updates suggested by scheme consultants and delivering multiple requests as per the requirements.
• Tracking fund and ESG ratings and highlighting any changes and commenting on the reason for changes.
• Using various tools like Databank, Bloomberg, Mercerinsight for market and index data to compare fund and scheme performance.
• Looking for opportunities to collaborate, automate the work improving the process or adding value.

I was in operations and have worked around various teams within the UK pension domain specialising in retirements and pension increases, data reconciliations. My roles and responsibilities were as below.

• Calculating pension increases for scheme members using RPI or CPI numbers as per the scheme rules.
• Reconciling the scheme data on a periodic basis to look for any changes in member details and highlighting these to the concerned teams and requesting members or communicating if any further information is required.
• Preparing investment reports as per members requests and updating member accounts on a daily basis.

I was a part of the structured Finance Team, my roles and responsibilities were as below.

• I analyzed structured and non-structured asset classes such as Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) and Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS).
• Processing and analyzing deals, including class performance, collateral performance, amortization performance, and delinquency sections for use by analysts in bond ratings.

The B. Com in Financial Markets provides comprehensive training to students in the field of Financial Market by way of interaction, projects, presentations, industrial visits .
