· Assisting the Principal in Curriculum development to establish curriculum guidelines and ensure they align with educational standards.

• Assist the Principal in developing and implementing school policies, programs, and curriculum activities.

• Group Counselling: Facilitate group sessions on common issues like peer pressure, bullying, or self-esteem.
• Crisis Intervention: Respond to emergencies or crises, such as a student's mental health crisis or other urgent issues.
• Conflict Resolution: Mediate conflicts between students or between students and teachers.

SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL):

• Promote SEL Programs: Implement and promote programs that teach students skills like empathy, self-awareness, and emotional regulation.
• Workshops and Seminars: Conduct workshops on topics like communication skills, healthy relationships & Good touch- Bad touch.

COLLABORATION AND ADVOCACY:

• Work with Teachers and Parents: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students’ needs.
• Advocate for Students: Act as an advocate for students’ well-being, ensuring they have access to the resources they need.
• Referral to External Services: Refer students to external mental health professionals or other resources when needed.

RECORD KEEPING AND REPORTING:

• Maintain Confidential Records: Keep detailed records of student interactions while ensuring confidentiality.
• Report on Student Progress: Provide reports and updates on students’ academic, social, and emotional progress.

SCHOOL POLICY AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:

• Develop Programs: Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide policies and programs aimed at improving student well-being.
• Evaluate Programs: Assess the effectiveness of counselling programs and make adjustments as needed.
