• Scrub/Assist as needed.

• Supervise and communicate with staff daily to maintain team efficiency and organized workflow.
• Support staff daily with any tasks necessary.
• Collaborate and communicate with Anesthesia and Surgeons daily to meet the needs of the perioperative patient.
• Ensure appropriate staff are scheduled and assigned to ensure surgical procedures can be performed efficiently and safely.
• Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure proper departmental coverage.
• Adhere to hospital policies and implementing quality improvement.
• Assist in the hiring process of new staff.
• Precept and educate new staff members in all roles in the operating room.
• Circulate all specialties in the operating room as the needs of the department arise weekly.

Including but not limited to: CVOR, Urology, Gynecology Obstetric, Robotics, Laparoscopic procedures, General, ENT, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Spine, and Neuro.

• Collaborate and communicate needs of the department and staff to management as needed.

• Provide efficient and safe care to the perioperative patient, developing and implementing nursing care for the patient throughout the perioperative process.
• Ensure and execute proper use of all surgical equipment and ensure patient safety at all times.
• Knowledgeable regarding sterile processing practices and ensure sterility.
• Communicate effectively with surgical team regarding needs of patient.
• Prepare surgical suite based on the needs of the patient, surgery, and surgeon preference.
• Precept and educate new staff.
• Knowledgeable in circulating all specialties including:

Urology, Gynecology Obstetric, Robotics, Laparoscopic procedures, General, ENT, Vascular, CVOR, Thoracic, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Spine, and Neuro.

• Robotics Specialty Coordinator/Implemented COEMIG designation
• Scrub/Assist in cases as needed.

• Collected all necessary supplies and instrumentation necessary for assigned procedures related to patient and surgeon preference.
• Maintained sterility and knowledge regarding infection control standards. Adhering to guidelines of sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Knowledgeable regarding the use of equipment in all specialties.
• Precepted and educated new staff.
• Able to assist and support surgeons in all specialties including:

Urology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, ENT, General, Laparoscopic procedures, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Neuro, Spine, and Robotics.
