- Monitoring Tool: The purpose of monitoring tool is to monitor the performance of ENM and provides the information in the monitoring GUI. It gives the basic details of the operating system for example the memory consumed, memory left over, CPU speed etc. Similarly, it gives the information related to the servers, services associated with the system.
- The Monitoring Tool supervises ENM with the help of two products called Hyperic & RHQ. These are the third party products which are customized and used as monitoring tools. Monitoring Tool is divided into the following components:
- Monitoring Server
- Monitoring Agent
- Database
- Monitoring Server is responsible for displaying the information in the GUI by connecting to monitoring agents, the data collected is stored in the database (MySQL, Postgres or Oracle).
