Title: Digital Slam Book, Technologies Used: Core Java, My SQL Database, Application Server: Apache Tomcat, Digital slam book is an online application for which we used core Java, HTML, and JavaScript in the front-end to build the User Interfaces and implement the logic., We used the My SQL database in the back end to store the data. We have implemented the below features in this application, Rich User Interfaces to capture the data from the user, Easy click Buttons to send Slam Request to Friends through Email and SMS services, Save and Retrieve the slam record from the database using a Custom search where the users can search by slam Id and Name, Save the contact information provided by the user in the Slam to the Contacts Table for future reference. Title: Online Hotel Management, Technologies Used: Core Java, Oracle 11g Database, Application Server: Apache Tomcat, The main goal of this application is to get over the drawbacks of regular Hotel Management systems where the end-users are not privileged to see the availability of rooms while making a reservation online. This portal allows the users not only to check the availability of rooms at the selected hotel but also to make a reservation to secure the room even with, reservation is made, the application would send an email to the selected Hotel and block the selected room for the next 30 minutes, the hotel management would call the user to confirm the reservation and the room will be auto-canceled in minutes in case the user did not respond to the call. The portal will poll the database for changes and auto-refresh the availability of the rooms.
