Company Overview:

Worked as an ETL developer for the client 'Selective Insurance Company of America' from March 2021 to the present. The project focuses on enhancing and building predictive models to detect fraudulent claims by developing an analytical engine using Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, and analytics platforms like Statistica and Microsoft Azure ML. Additionally, recovery models were designed to improve the quality referral rate for recovery opportunities (subrogation, restitution, and deductible recoveries) at claim intake and throughout the claim lifecycle across all lines of business, leveraging the same technologies based on business requirements within the Data Warehouse and Data Mart.

• As an ETL developer, I enhanced Data Warehouses and Data Marts by creating and modifying mappings in Informatica PowerCenter to meet business needs.
• I developed standard, reusable mappings using various transformations such as expression, aggregator, joiner, source qualifier, router, and filter in Informatica PowerCenter.
• I optimized legacy code through various techniques to address and resolve performance issues.
• Created IICS mappings and tasks, and migrated modeling/live score datasets from On-Prem SQL Server databases to cloud in parquet file format for Azure ML to support predictive model development.
• I developed SCD Type-1 and SCD Type-2 mappings using both Informatica PowerCenter and IICS.
• Utilized the Undraleu tool to ensure coding standards for developed mappings and implemented necessary changes based on Undraleu reports.
• Collaborated with the scheduling team to automate Informatica/IICS mappings using ASG Zena workstation, aligning job schedules with business requirements
• Wrote Python scripts for unit and regression testing between cloud (Azure ADL) and On-Prem databases, employing DataCompy and Pandas libraries.
• Executed DDL and DML commands to create, modify, and update data in SQL Server 2014 and 2019 tables.
• Utilized Git integrated with DevOps for version control of AzureML pipelines.
• Actively participated in agile ceremonies, managing sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives, and communicated with the product owner to gather requirements.
• Served as a project DBA, performing tasks such as creating user logins, managing user access (native users, service accounts), and setting up linked servers on SQL Server 2014 and SSMS 2019.
