Developing strategic plans and steering initiatives to standardize processes & procedures, with optimal resource utilization
Oversee MRP (Material Requirements Planning) requests globally, ensuring efficient utilization of current inventory and contracted materials.
Raw Material Procure (Steel Mills) & Track the raw material status as per the schedule requires date and send reminders Mill for expediting to meet the customer Commit date.
Negotiations with suppliers about product pricing, lead– times reduction, timely delivery, etc
Scheduling order quantities to be purchased and subsequent release of purchase order to suppliers to ensure no interruption in the production process/supply of spares
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, machining category teams, and inventory teams to redirect WFRD-owned materials to third-party suppliers where feasible
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and mitigate risks in the global supply chain.
Execute sourcing events (RFXs), negotiate supplier agreements, and ensure contracts align with organizational and global category strategies.
Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize the global flow of raw materials, ensuring cost-efficient and timely delivery.
Develop and maintain an inventory utilization plan, focusing on slow moving inventory and materials on contract, in alignment with the global raw material strategy.
Monitor and report on financial impacts of sourcing decisions, including savings generated through inventory optimization.
Develop cost models to assess raw material pricing, supplier performance, and operational efficiencies, linking these analyses to broader financial goals to ensure alignment with the organization’s profitability targets.
Setting up a reliable and efficient supplier base after qualifying them on predefined parameters
Localization of Different Types of Coating like as Xylan Coating, Copper Coating process to Carry Out on Different types of Machined components
Providing requisite support to suppliers/ service providers to reduce the delivery time
Conducting regular audits of suppliers prior to extending/ awarding contracts on the basis of QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) parameters
Verifying inventory effectively to maintain sufficient stock levels to meet production requirements
Initiating measures for improving inventory management practices and better availability of materials
Maintaining seamless communication chain with vendors
Liaising with vendors for maintaining a smooth supply timely for delivery of necessary materials and other items from their end to the production unit/supply of spares
Maintaining the freight and other expenses involved by choosing appropriate transport method and payment methods
Ensuring smooth distribution of material right from sourcing of vendor and smooth supply of material as well as Services
Calculate & send Fund Forecast require for Raw material & Import items which is going to receipt in next month well in advance to F&A so they don’t face any issue in Fund release
Advance negotiations for Costing Inputs
Supporting Global Sourcing Supplies and Support activities
Undertaking of items for development & Vendor Development
Visit and assess supplier's facilities and capabilities; update database of supplier based on performance observed
Negotiating with vendors for material procurement while coordinating with the higher authorities of the company, ensuring statutory and company compliances
Qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency
Take up Corrective and preventive action to eliminate Non-Conformance
Challenged to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials as per specifications within the set quality and timely delivery of materials
Accountable for receiving purchase indents/requisitions from user dept
Maintained the records by working in JDE, relating to the materials management, by supplier and by department, purchase orders and goods requisitions and the stock take record
Prepare and conduct negotiations for medium to high Purchasing Volumes to obtain highest feasible savings
Preparation and Analysis of actual cost v/s estimated cost
To create/close Purchase Order timely considering Cost effectiveness and as per Purchasing SOP
