To use an opportunity with a positive mindset fetches learning and experience for a lifetime and I am all about that. Opportunities were never less for me, they kept rolling in some or the other way and I thought that my only work is to use it.
Using many such chances, I was able to decide that Psychology is my subject where I want to do the maximum exploration. Being in this field for 5 years, my greatest learning is to be a good human. Along with Psychology, if there is another entity where I see myself as a good fit is Writing. My day begins and ends with Writing. Each time I create a blog, my perspective shifts to a better place.
Achieving awards, securing position in academics make a more realistic sense when the learnings are put into practical use. I am on that journey right now.
Working with various sectors of the society needs one to be equipped which diversified skills. These skills are enhanced with experience and I am open for it.
At the end, my belief is about Psychology deduces to Service. To be able to pervade Mental Health Awareness to the unprivileged, to be able to make an individual understand the essence of her/his own life.

Apart from group counseling, a day is catered for individual counseling where students reach out for personal therapy and to learn coping mechanisms.
In the section of Behavioral Therapy, I carried out my internship at The BrainTree, a child neuro-developmental centre. The holistic setup of the organization provided the most enriching experience.
I had an opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, with diverse cultural backgrounds.
As a part of the internship, I worked for the following departments:
- Behaviour therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Special Education
- Neuro-developmental Assessments
- Clinical interview of the parents

It was a wonderful experience to explore Zoom classes with the next-gen students teaching English for 3rd - 6th grades. The support received from the senior faculty boosted my energy and confidence to venture into a newer field, especially during the pandemic.
It was a new area for me, to deal with adolescents. Apart from just teaching them English, the discussions were far more profound. The next generation is definitely takes an upper step towards more knowledge!
Adolescent Education.
To see the rural setting with the lens of Psychology can get disheartening at times. As a Neurofeedback Practitioner, I got to experience in the areas of Dementia risk and Children with Learning Disabilities.
The process for Dementia check-up included;
Case History taking, interviewing, followed by Brain Mapping (EEG). Once the results were out, there was a consultation session with the later adults of Manali region.
The process of Brain mapping for children with learning disabilities gave an additional insight to the NGOs to develop their intervention strategies. Also, a lot of music and play therapy was also included.
