ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manual testing:

• Understanding the requirements and creating Test Plans, Test Sets, and Test Cases for the feature by covering all the possible scenarios in order not to miss any bugs, to assure the quality.
• Root Cause Analysis for the issues observed while testing to make sure where it got broken.
• Analyzing Device (TR069) parameters from ACS Server by Get/Set the values remotely using the unique serial number.
• Covering Wi-Fi client connectivity via QR code/WPS/Password in Windows/Linux/Mobile Client with 802.11 b/g/n/a/ac standards and for different security mode (WPA2 PSK/WPA2- WPA3 PSK).
• Connectivity of GUEST, which is the separate bridge from Main SSID and Smart Home SSID.
• To make sure the clients can be able to seamlessly steer between the bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz) without any fluctuation in real time traffic via Band steering.
• Validating the Easy Mesh functionality with n number of boosters and extenders.
• To make sure the clients can get connected to the extender with high RSSI value in case of more than 1 extenders via Roaming.
• Providing reports for the throughput/performance cases done with the help of STC in the case of wired clients, for wireless with the fusion of STC and ASUS router in media bridge.
• Performance testing (RvR) for all the radios with DFS and non-DFS channels.
• Triggering stability and endurance setup to determine the longevity of the board without experiencing any crashes or kernel panics, while utilizing all the available bandwidth continuously.
• Validating the port forwarding and the DMZ rule created with the help of Iperf.
• Covering Firewall-related scenarios to make sure there are no open ports to receive unsolicited traffic from the WAN side and also seamless traffic from the LAN side.
• Verifying DynDNS functionality in both IPv4 and IPv6, Samba, Printer Sharing, DLNA, and Remote Assistance functionality.
• Project Specific Third-Party agents, CUJO and ASSIA, to remotely control the device.
• Hosting/Attending regular scrum meetings to update the status of the assigned tasks and to discuss the issues observed while testing, to ensure that everyone gets the gist.
• Testing any feature with nearly zero error by covering all the positive and negative scenarios.

Automation Testing:

• Java/python or shell script to automate the Test Cases related to stability like continuous reboot, reset, upgrade/downgrade, connection/disconnection of WLAN/LAN clients in Windows/Linux, GUI login and logout, board is PA calibrated, changing channelin board and connect a client for each channel, continuous iperf traffics
• Converted repeated testing into automation scripts as smoke and sanity testing.
• Completed courses postman, git and Jenkins having basic hands-on.
