• QA/QC Inspector in Welding in structural steel & piping with in Oil & Gas.
• Reviewing and implementation of QAP.
• Responsible to complete test packages.
• Witnessing Welder Qualifications, PQR as per Job requirement.
• Approval of welding procedure specification (WPS), Welder performance qualification record (WPQR), Welder continuity record as per ASME SEC IX.
• Reviewing the WPS & PQR for respective jobs and making sure the welder is performing his job within the parameters given in the WPS.
• Monitoring the weld repair ratios and making sure it is within the acceptable range, if not taking precautionary measures to avoid the repairs by assessing the welder skills and training them to the requirement being put up by the client.
• Conducting spot checks periodically to ensure the welders are performing within the approved welding procedures. Checking the preheat and post heat requirements as per WPS.
• Installation of piping and mechanical works as per approved Drawing and P&IDs.
• Witnessing, Monitoring, erection work
• Check the material as per MTC
• Check the pipe fit-ups work according to standard and reference to the isometric drawings.
• Inspection of fabrication & installation of pipe supports
• Raising the technical query against mismatch of engineering documents & project specification
• Having co-ordination with engineering & construction department to review & implement the quality plan
• Review Hydro test procedure, Pneumatic Procedure, Lay –up procedure & pressure test packages
• Ensure the pressure test documents, verify the calibration certificates and water analysis reports
• Inspection of piping network & preparation of punch list with reference to isometric drawing & Piping & instrument diagram
• Verify the reinstatement work
• Check and witness all Hydrostatic test activities
• Witnessing Calibration and testing of PSV’s & PVRV’s at vendor facilities.
• Punch listing. Clear A and B punch list items. Coordination between client and contractor for re-instatement activities
• Inspection of API Standard Storage Tanks & ASME Sec VIII Horizontal Pressure Vessels.

• Performing Fit up, Dimensional & Alignment inspections and release the joint for welding.
• Assessing the ability of welders and procedure qualifications as per applicable WPS and Relevant standards such as ASME Sec IX , PNAE-G-7003
• Monitoring Pre-Heat and Post-Heat treatment as per approved WPS
• Monitoring welding and performing weld visual inspection of all piping and steel structure in accordance with WPS and applicable standards
• Verification of Quiver in use, weather conditions, Preheat temperature, adequate Inter-pass temperature &cleaning, welding current, voltage, travel speed, polarity.
• Experience in welding process GTAW, SMAW.
• Inward inspection of welding consumables and verification of consumables issue log.
• NDT examinations offering to Third party for completed weld joint and reviewing Test reports.
• Witness the Non-Destructive testing for welds which involves UT, PT &MT.
• Preparation of weld map and NDT plan and assigning as per the project requirement.
• Maintaining Weld control summary.

• Incoming raw material inspection, verification of Test certificates and Ensures traceability from purchasing to delivery on site.
• Raising the inspection requests (MIR’s) for steel materials and welding consumables.
• Witnessing the lab test for raw materials and inspecting the requirement with codes & standards.
• Conducting stage wise inspection such as fit up & dimensional, weld visual, NDT, blasting, galvanizing & painting inspections.
• Witnessing alignment, Verticality and Plumbness inspection for the installed structures and bolt torquing inspections for the structural connections.
• Submitting the inspection requests (RFI) to the client for the erected Structural steel in accordance with the approved inspection and test plan.
