I entered the private tutoring profession out of necessity viewing it as a side hustle while working away at my main goal of securing a government job. Within a few months, however I became aware that I actually liked mentoring young minds and the feedback I received from parents and their constant reposing of trust in me and my abilities only bolstered my views on my ability to engage students and make them enjoy not merely learning but the process of learning itself. It has been 9 years as a tutor for me and I cannot think of a better profession for me which has such goodness of fit with my personality. I remain a lifelong learner myself, reading extensively every day and what has been one of my biggest joys is seeing that love for books trickle down to my students from me which is no small thing given the crazy amounts of time children spend on social media and devices extracting instant gratification. I am confident that if I am hired as a teacher, I will excel and continue to motivate the students placed under my tutelage to seek excellence in their lives.

I am a voracious reader and a lover of the written word and there has not been been a day in adult life so far that I have missed reading. I also love collecting books and am the proud owner of a small library in my home that I have created over the last decade. I also have a passion for learning new languages.
