A significant milestone in this project was the claim of providing the world's fastest 5G download speed at 9.1 Gigabits per second in December 2020. The project involved rolling out this cutting-edge 5G network in Dubai starting from 2017, showcasing etisalat's commitment to innovation and excellence in telecommunications. This endeavor not only strengthened etisalat's brand as the strongest in the Middle East and Africa but also positioned it as the 4th strongest telecoms brand globally.
