Whilst studying in London, which is one of the fashion capitals of the world I am constantly exposed to new ideas, styles and cultures putting me at an advantage for a truly international outlook for any brand. I am closely involved in the Fashion Society at my university which is a community of students with similar interests and have attended various meets, participated in projects and aspire to soon lead the society in my coming academic years. These experiences have also helped build my strategic thinking abilities, proficiency in market research and analysis, improved my written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
I have worked with an autism centre with kids on the spectrum during my summer break before my first year began. This experience has helped me gain both work experience and volunteering skills. I was involved in working towards helping special needs kids and was one of the pioneers for introduced music therapy for children that are on the spectrum or have ADHD. I was able to do this as I have been a trained classical singer for the last 10 years specialising in both western and Indian music. This training in music also helps me give an edge in thinking about fashion as today in the Gen Z era pop culture and the music industry almost move hand in hand. I aspire to leverage my unique blend of experiences to contribute meaningfully to projects while gaining immensely from these internship projects.
