Smart shopping trolley


Smart Shopping Trolley project involves several key steps. Initially, the Atmega 328 microcontroller initializes the system, including the IR and ultrasonic sensors, motor drivers, and barcode reader. The IR and ultrasonic sensors detect and track a predefined object, relaying distance and direction data to the microcontroller. The microcontroller processes this information to control the Johnson/DC motors, enabling the trolley to follow the user and avoid obstacles. As items are placed in the cart, the barcode reader scans them, sending product information to the microcontroller to calculate the total quantity and cost. An LCD display (if included) shows the current list of items and the total amount, updating in real-time. The process concludes with ensuring all components function together seamlessly for an efficient shopping experience.


Smart staircase lighting using piezoelectric effect


This project proposes a smart energy harvesting system using piezoelectric sensors to convert mechanical pressure from footsteps into electrical energy. The system integrates a diode bridge rectifier, voltage measurement via INA219, and ESP32 for real-time communication with the Arduino loT Cloud. The setup enables monitoring and Logging of energy generation data, promoting a sustainable energy solution for smart cities.
