Packaging design and development : Returnable Euro standard bin & metal pallet packaging for local suppliers ( 150+ suppliers , 2500 Parts )

External logistics operations : M^3 per part optimization to reduce logistics cost , truck simulation study.

Import & export operations : Development of import returnable packaging & container utilization. After market parts packaging development.

SQPC kaizens ( innovate-tryout-Implementation).

Extended producers responsibility compliance ( EPR) : elimination of plastic packaging & implementation of recycled plastic content.

KPI Management : Resolve running packaging issues , reuse bins for new projects , M^3 per vehicle reduction.

• New product development : Supported the NPI/NSI packaging sign-off for multiple CAT facility for projects (1,500+ parts and 200+ suppliers).
• Effectively managing projects in accordance with the Gateway plan deadline by organising and prioritizing work responsibilities.
• Buyback packaging : Develop sea-worthy packaging suitable for export shipments, ensuring product safety during long transit durations. Design packaging as per international shipping requirements (ISPM standards, moisture protection, corrosion prevention, etc.).
• Identification and implementation of a packaging cost-saving project based on TCO and facility requirements such as cost, sustainability, and CO2 reduction.
• RCM : Management of the returnable pallets and FG engine skids planning and operations in the Perkins India facility to sustain the annual packaging cost saving of $400K (+50 parts and 14 suppliers).
• identification & Implementation of returnable projects for inbound parts and Outbound Interplant FG engines. Total cost saving: $200K & 150K+ BPM Reduction in Year 2023-2025.
• Review yearly volume and validate the loop size for the returnable pallet loop size.( 2000+ pallets in loop).
• Vendor Management : Support and manage indirect purchase to work with suppliers for the addition of new returnable pallets, maintenance, and packaging materials. Evaluate supplier capabilities on cost, quality, and innovation. Negotiate pricing and manage contracts for packaging materials.
• Customer handling : address packaging-related customer complaints and implement corrective actions as per deadline.
• Compliance resolution : Document compliance issue resolution in 541 DC for returnable pallets by the Dummy PR PO process.
• Collaborate with the Packaging Design, Supply Chain, Indirect Purchase team , Logistics, Quality and Transportation for packaging projects implementation.
• Supported the implementation of EPR regulation in accordance with government norms for local and import suppliers.
• Perform should cost calculation for the packaging material.
• Ensure the packaging meets all the packaging value stream requirements.

• Key responsibilities involve new projects, production, manpower planning, maintenance, and store management.
• Manage over 70 operators in three-shift environments.
• Process improvement – Implemented an automatic weighing machine, which resulted in better control of production and improved productivity.
• Maintained 5S in the store, which reduced response time for material issuing, to address breakdowns.
• Maintained high quality standards, adhering to regulatory and ISO requirements.
• Prepared detailed reports on production performance, highlighting successes and areas for action.
• Regularly planned and organised maintenance of machinery and equipment.
