Looking after the east region, which includes the states of West Bengal, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha, entrusted with the responsibility of handling all legal matters related to recovery of dues from the defaulters of secured and unsecured loans.

• Handling all legal matter / practices to secure the best interests of the organization in debt recovery through SARFAESI Action.
• Strategically handling of all By and Against litigation including criminal, civil and consumer cases filed against Co. and Key Managerial personnel.
• Handling Criminal & Civil matters | Working with advocates and police.
• Handling DRT and DRAT matters which includes application, review and appeal under SARFAESI.
• Handling of arbitration initiated through section 11 of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act and execution of Awards.
• Handling IBC Matters
• Drafting of replies, representations, applications, customer communications etc.
• Handling customer grievances and consumer cases filed before the various Consumer Forums.
• Exercising general supervision over Initiating and executing proceedings under Negotiable Instruments Act and Payments and Settlement Systems Act.
• Assisting Collection Teams for recovery through legal proceedings.
• Actively involved in legal strategy for initiating and executing legal recoveries.
• Drafting, vetting of letters and replies to Customers and various statutory and regulatory authorities.
• Preparing reports and presentation for periodical review of East legal cases.

• To take prompt legal measures to mitigate risk posed by frivolous criminal prosecutions of the corporate, its executive members and other officials.
• To undertake in-depth analysis of fraudulent loan transactions and initiate suitable criminal/recovery actions.
• To process recovery actions in respect of secured SME loans of high values turning NPA by taking appropriate actions under SARFAESI Act, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Act, RDB Act, Negotiable Instrument Act, Arbitration & Conciliation Act
• To work closely with corresponding departments such as Sales, Credit, Operations, FCU, and Collections and advise them on legal issues faced by them in their day-to-day operations.
• To carry all such other legal, and miscellaneous assignments incidental to the key responsibilities.

• Appeared and successfully conducted several Bail Applications u/s 438 and 439 Cr.PC before the Hon'ble Jharkhand High Court.
• Appeared and successfully conducted Applications u/s 482 Cr.PC before the Hon'ble Jharkhand High Court.
• Appeared and successfully conducted criminal writs under Art. 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India.
• Drafted, researched and conducted matters relating to Matrimonial Disputes, Consumer Disputes, Service Writs, Industrial Disputes, Succession, Probate of wills, Debt recovery and so on.

• Work arena and work experiences are by and large similar to that as under present organization Aditya Birla Capital.

• Appeared and successfully conducted several Bail Applications u/s 438, 439 and 437 Cr.PC before the Learned Sessions Court and Judicial Magistrates.
• Filed and successfully conducted several complaints/proceedings u/s 200, 156(3) Crpc, 138 N.I Act for and on behalf of individual clients as a professional engagement. Also, Conducted examination-in-chief & Cross examination and advanced final arguments.
• Drafted, researched, counseled clients and briefed senior advocates in matters relating to Criminal proceedings, Matrimonial Disputes, Consumer Disputes, Industrial Disputes, Succession, Probate of wills, Debt recovery and so on.
