Roles and Responsibilities:

• Strong Service Delivery through creation of operational excellence model which encompasses performance management, quality compliance and clear goal setting

• Arranging duties for the Nursing Supervisors, Nursing In-charges and Nursing Coordinators
• Daily rounds to all patient rooms and getting their feedbacks on nursing and other patient services
• Collecting daily progress reports from the quality and infection control nurses
• Arrange interdepartmental meetings for the improvements of the institute and patient care
• Finding the gaps of nursing and patient care services and suggests appropriate suggestions and solutions
• Maintain quality of patient care services according to NABH standards
• Executing policies and SOP’s as per NABH standards
• Conducting BLS training for all hospital employees including the HOD’s and Medical Officers
• Training of auxiliary nursing students
• Conducting NABH trainings to all nursing and supporting staff
• Coordinating for the complaints and problems of patients to concerned departmental heads and finding proper solutions.

• Observation of patient care practices and ICU practices and providing trainings for all health care workers
• Arrange quality and infection control trainings to nursing staff and supportive staff.
• Provide immunization program to all health care workers

• Responsible for the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of Hospital Acquired infections, educating employees about infection control and ensuring the implementation of various infection control policies in the hospital
• Collect the data related to hospital acquired infections from respective department and generate the Hospital Infection rate
• Maintain and update record of needle stick injury and sharp injury to the health care worker and coordinate for Post Exposure management
• Supervision in Bio Medical waste segregation and Supervision in housekeeping activities
• Generate quality indicators of infection control and submit the data to the hospital authority
• Monitor and implementation of strict aseptic infection control practices and minimize risk of infection to patient and health care workers
• Participating in quality/performance improvement activities by assessing, monitoring, and measuring and evaluating outcomes on a continuous basis
• Assisting in the organization of regularly scheduled Hospital Infection Control meetings and Dissemination of recommendations hospital-wide policies
• Conduct induction programs to the new joiners and Conduct training to the health care workers about Sharp Injuries, Spillage management, Bio- medical waste segregation, Self hygiene, and standard precautions
• Providing vaccination programs & motivated the healthcare workers making them accountable & ensure that they deliver safe practices.
