· Study of Heat treatment of Welds in Pressure Vessels in accordance with ASME guidelines.

. Project Assigned & Completed: Reducing Throughput Time By Cycle Time Reduction.
I was assigned the project on reducing through put time of manufacturing taper roller bearings by cycle time reduction. Optimizing component milk run in their assembly line was integral part of the project. Concept of Defined work was applied to identify nonproductive elements and waste movements on a Taper Roller channel to reduce cycle time. Got opportunity to learn application of quality management tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Automation of transfer line, Six Sigma, 5s and SKF Production System during internship project. Opportunity was utilized to learn various manufacturing processes involved in production of different kinds of precision bearings and application of quality control techniques on bearings production.
· Study of installation, operation and design requirements of Press forging operations for manufacturing of shafts, stepped-shafts, gear blanks, billets, etc.
· Study of Heat treatment of metals (Hardening, Annealing, Normalizing, Tempering, etc.)
