• Ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with agreed HSSE practices and procedures as established for the project.
• Responsible for managing the workforce and utilizing them efficiently in the paint shop.
• Training the workforce to ensure that they are competent and skilled and managing their discipline. Maintain cleanliness on the shop floor by following 5S principles.
• Complete paint jobs as per production plan by leading a group of painters by way of example. Ensure safe working conditions at the WorkCentre.
• Ensure check sheets are maintained and filled to ensure that all quality parameters are met. Fill up the check sheets for quality.
• Track actual hours generated, ensure discipline, and enhance efficiency of workmen.
• Coordinating and managing the team of welders from a Quality and Productivity point of view and specialist sub-contractors.
• Follow all site safety requirements to ensure the safety and wellbeing management of all stakeholders. Keeping the project resourced with plant and materials.
• Monitoring and controlling all aspects of OH&S. Providing reports on works completed.
• Work closely with Sustainability Engineer, Deconstruction Manager and Logistics Supervisor to maintain safe, efficient and best practices for handling, storage/stock piling and disposal of scrap, waste and hazardous substances/materials.
• Support interfacing and coordinating with Asset (HSSE, Environment, Operations etc.) and other projects to manage SIMOPS and concurrent work activities.
• Support the Contractors in setting up the HSSE management system and procedures for the factory sites, laydown areas, site offices etc.
• Guide, Coach and familiarize the Contractors with Client’s HSSE requirements for work activities under the PTW.
• Ensure reporting of HSSE metrics and KPIs are done accurately and timely for the specific areas of custodianship.
• Use data-driven approaches to focus the field efforts on addressing areas with weak HSSE signals.
• Perform continual inspection/ field-walks and review of jobs for safe work practices (all HSSE aspects). Pro-actively ensure that all activities in the day-to-day operations are executed with no harm to personnel, environment and equipment and in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Support the investigation of incidents & near misses to enable a continuous improvement and learning culture. Audit and review PTW System. Assess PTW applicant priorities. Knowledge in COSHH Risk Assessment and HAZOP studies.
• Support implementation of HSSE initiatives such as campaigns, Coaching Based Intervention Programme and HSSE alerts and learning’s cascade.
• Deliver compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Client’s HSSE & SP requirements, applying consistent Consequence Management.
