Summary

I am a young researcher pursuing Ph.D. at Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, interested in addressing the health issues applicable to Indian sub-continent through research and innovation. The future goal is to transition into translational research and head towards a stress-free, fun, inclusive and evolving research environment that will contribute to the well-being of human society. Current expertise includes but not limited to cell culture handling, storage and retrieval, cell proliferation and anti-proliferation assays, FACS, western blotting, real-time PCR, computational tools and databases and statistical analysis, proficient in conducting laboratory and field experiments while informing new hires on research methods and data collection procedures, skilled in conceptualization, design and implementation of hypothesis driven projects while learning new skillsets for execution of the projects.

  • Collaborated on computational and chemical based studies, documented data and extrapolated results.
  • Started with a research problem ,overcame funding and COVID related issues, resolved contrasting hypotheticals to reach defensible conclusions based on solid evidence.
  • Handled several sophisticated instruments as part of complex laboratory experiments (BRITS Gamma irradiator, Olympus high end fluorescence microscopes, Flow cytometers)
  • Flow cytometers handled- BD FACS ARIA III, BD FACS Canto and BD FACS Calibur, utilized in analyzing 2 simultaneous colored fluorophores in cell line samples.
  • Interpreted data using FACSalyzer and FlowJo and Computed complex statistical analyses using GraphPad Prism.
  • Edited papers for submission to prestigious academic and industry journals with senior researchers.
  • Designed experiments for computationally derived interpretations and validated using human tissue samples.
  • Qualified for Half-time Teaching/Research Assistantship scheme under Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt of India.
