In Standard Insurance, we are having different applications which are coded using different frame works of java like Struts, Spring etc. for performing different kind of operations related to insurance. Each and every application has its own purpose and some applications are interrelated For eg: We have a java web service and it is consuming by different other java web applications. Implementation of OWASP Security techniques to eliminate vulnerabilities of applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Worked on development using Struts.

· Able to understand the requirements and analyze them correctly.

· Involved in deployments which involved clear case, build forge tools.

· Worked on implementing the Security Techniques in the code to avoid vulnerabilities in the applications.

· Implemented the OWASP security Techniques in the application level.

Project Description:

Security & Modernization Initiatives Program (SMIP) - ASFRO provides Developers the ability to understand the security vulnerabilities in their code. Through the fortify report file (.fpr) generated, teams understand the presence of vulnerabilities that are prone to security threats, help in the analysis of eliminating the false positives thrown by the tool and remediating the vulnerable findings. This helps the firm to have secure web applications and save lot of revenue, since this is a preventive step.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Analyzing the. Fpr report generated by the Fortify (static code analyzer) tool on the applications and eliminate the false positives thrown by the tool.

· Implemented the OWASP security Techniques in the application level for remediating the vulnerable findings.

· Application Testing and deploying the code to QA environment for UAT.

· Perform Peer Code reviews.

· Maintained good documentation of all the deliverables.

Configuring and upgrading Websphere Application Server. Applying fix packs, deployment of war files.

Handling RTC (Rational Team Concert) code versioning tool, takes care of SCAPM (Tivoli Monitoring Tool) for monitoring the alerts.

Custom developed Web Application portal specific for the Data warehouse Department of SBI which acts as medium for redirecting the user to TM1 and Cognos Applications respectively.

Develop and implement Unix shell scripts based on the requirement.

· Debugging and resolving WAS related issues.

· Takes care of RTC tool and acts as an admin for code check-in and check-out activities.
