• Regularly review demand requirements, place purchase orders with designated suppliers to support MRP and Lean manufacturing principles. Maintain the dates on all Open POs in the system, clarify item details and specifications from other groups as needed and communicate/ respond to queries from Production Planning, Production, Strategic Procurement, Project Management, Quotations group and Order Management.
• Maintain system pricing, quotations, dates, Lead Times and other item attributes for materials and services by consistently communicating with suppliers and relay the same to Cross-Functional groups.
• Process New Part Workflows by sending RFQs to identify potential suppliers, negotiate the pricing and update the system with Lead Time, Pricing and Item Attributes information.
• Resolve quality (NCRs) issues and or delivery (OTD) issues with suppliers while investigating the root cause and coordinating with Quality, Shop-floor, Engineering Production Planning and providing short term and long term solutions.
• Process Engineering Change Requests/ Orders (ECO/ ECRs) and communicate the change in technical specifications with suppliers.
• Execute daily Procurement responsibilities while supporting strategic initiatives from Quotation till Final delivery.
• Work with Logistics and receiving team to resolve any paperwork, trade compliance or Logistics related issues.
• Lead continuous improvement projects while working with Cross Functional teams to improve Supply Chain KPIs such as On Time Delivery, Inventory Turns and Cost.
• Provide guidance to Buyers and offshore teams on Supply Chain functions as well as MRP/ Oracle applications
