  • Thesis Title: - Thermoelectric studies of modified Cu2Se: bulk and thin films for waste heat recovery.
  • Review:- Used MATLAB to simulate and develop a heat transfer model to determine the thermal conductivity of the TE material.
  • Designed and fabricated a setup to calculate the thermal conductivity of the material.
  • Did COMSOL simulations of a flexible thermoelectric generator.
  • Learnt the additive manufacturing technique of 3D printing to generate Cu2Se legs.

  • Review:- Synthesized Cu2Se bulk materials with better yield and tried to improve the performance of the material by preparing nanocomposites with carbon sources and also by doping.
  • A series of Cu2Se thin films was deposited using magnetron sputtering to optimize the sputtering power, substrate temperature, and annealing.
  • Further, flexible thermoelectric generator was fabricated based on the optimized conditions.
