DUTY MANAGER – AIR CARGO TERMINAL OPERATIONS
SUMMARY: An Ambitious project manager with experience from Warehouse management, logistics, coordination with all the airlines. I have on several occasions led and collaborated with different groups of people from business, government and international organizations, and enjoy analyzing, creating and streamlining workflows and processes. OBJECTIVE :Seeking a Challenging position in a challenging but rewarding organization to deliver exceptional projects through effective employee coordination and implementation of operational processes to achieve the combined goal.
• Manage overall export and import operations.
• Managed the staff of approximately 500+ with 10 direct reports.
• Recruit, Coach and Build the Team as per operational Requirements considering the annual budgets,
• Responsible for General Administration related to Staff Cafeteria, Transportation, and Staff Operational Requirements
• Develop, implement and continuously enhance air freight forwarding operational procedures (import and export).
• Managing the day-to-day Cargo Terminal Operations and Airport Warehousing will oversee a large-scale transformation of the operating facilities and environment of the cargo operation.
• Coordinates customs & customer communication and operational execution for divisional strategies; develop specific warehousing requirements based on strategic plans and customer expectations; designs the appropriate warehousing solution that incorporates logistics best practices.
• Bringing hands-on experience and best practice process knowledge to the role
• Build and maintain long term relations with clients, airlines and terminals.
• Flexibility to adjust work schedule based on operational requirements.
• Address complaints and key concerns impacting staff morale and performance.
• Advise authorities and other teams on contingency plans during incidents involving hazardous materials or goods.
• Analyse customers' needs to modify products and services.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for air cargo operations in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Develop and ensure that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed.
• Develop contingency plans for areas affected by hazardous materials.
• Develop staff through capability development and coaching.
• Develop systems to ensure safety and security standards are followed.
• Develop warehouse planning methods, warehouse storage and layout plans.
• Establish SOPs for handling hazardous materials or goods.
• Evaluate severity of incidents involving hazardous materials or goods and determine manpower required for clean-up operations.
• Identify safety and security risks and develop plans to reduce identified risks.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to improve work safety and security.
• Lead organisational change management.
• Propose initiatives to enhance productivity and innovation.
• Review warehouse operations using supply chain and business management principles.
• Prepare and consolidate regular reports for management review
• Ad hoc projects as assigned .
• Warehousing, Customs procedure for bounded warehouse, International Import/Export and warehouse operations from the receiving of the goods to pallet buildup for the aircraft. On time services to the customers as per Service Level Agreement. Handling CHAs, Airlines and Customs officials. Familiarity of IATA, ICAO, DG, DGCA.
• Emergency Response, Profiling, Safety & Security of company assets, CCTV monitoring, Fraud and Theft detection, Auditing, Planning, Organizing and coordinating, Reporting, Admin & HR.
• Liaising with Customs-Trade representation, effective written Communication with Customs, arranging and leading trade meeting with customs, License renewal and other permission from customs
• Develops leadership team and provides daily oversight for all operational requirements for the staff; leads and develops hourly workforce teams in a combination environment.
