Postpartum Care:

• Assess the health of both mother and newborn.

• Educate mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, and postpartum recovery.

• Identify, manage, and report postpartum complications promptly.

Newborn Care:

• Perform daily newborn care including bathing, feeding, diapering, and comforting.

• Monitor and document vital signs; report abnormalities to the physician.

• Administer vaccines, medications, and therapies as prescribed

.

• Educate parents on newborn care practices, hygiene, feeding, and safety.

Gynecological Care:

• Prepare patients for gynecological surgeries by ensuring proper documentation, lab tests, and preoperative readiness.

• Monitor for post-surgical complications such as infections, bleeding, or thromboembolic events.

• Encourage postoperative deep breathing exercises, ambulation, and pain control.

• Perform IV cannulation, administer IV fluids, and conduct blood transfusions.

• Provide care for lines and tubes, manage wounds, and change dressings.

• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, medication, hygiene, and warning signs of complications.

Pediatrics

• Monitor and document pediatric vital signs; report any deviations.

• Perform pediatric IV cannulation and collect blood samples for tests.

• Administer oral, parenteral medications, and nebulizations.

• Provide oxygen therapy via nasal prongs or oxygen masks

.

• Perform Clean Intermittent Catheterization (CIC), manage ICDs, drains, and nasogastric (NG) tube insertions and feedings

.

• Handle and maintain Chemoports, PICC lines, Central lines, and Midlines.

• Assist with diagnostic procedures, including ECGs and various tests.

• Prepare children for surgery and educate parents on postoperative care, basic nutrition, and pain management.

• Provide wound care and regularly change dressings.

• Educate families on home care, hygiene, nutrition, and follow-up plans.

• Offer emotional support to children and their families during treatment and recovery.

Urology Care

• Assess and monitor patients with urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate conditions, and bladder disorders
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing procedures such as TURP, nephrectomy, cystectomy, and RIRS
• Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures in accordance with hospital protocols
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures including cystoscopy, biopsy, and urodynamic studies
• Perform catheterization (insertion and removal), bladder irrigation, and bladder wash procedures
• Deliver comprehensive urinary diversion care, including urostomy care and education
• Manage long-term urinary catheters and assess surgical wounds, providing appropriate wound care
• Educate patients on self-catheterization techniques and urological health management
• Monitor and document vital signs, administer medications, and manage pain effectively
• Accurately record observations and interventions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Nephrology Care

• Deliver specialized nursing care to patients with chronic kidney disease, post-kidney transplant, and those undergoing dialysis
• Monitor fluid and electrolyte balance, recognize early signs of kidney failure, infection, and other complications
• Assess arteriovenous fistula (AVF) patency and educate patients on AVF maintenance, infection prevention, and activity precautions
• Administer kidney-related medications, including erythropoietin and phosphate binders, as prescribed
• Provide patient education on kidney disease, treatment options, dietary restrictions, and medication adherence.
• Empower patients through lifestyle counseling and self-management strategies
• Offer psychological support and guidance to patients and families coping with chronic renal conditions.
