Roles and Responsibilities :

• Interpreted the explanation for benefits (EOB) and balance transfers money to the secondary insurance or patient liability.
• Posting payments both electronically and manually; maintaining accurate medical billing records.
• Reconciliation of batches to posted payments daiIly, received/ posted electronic payments/ adjustments from insurances. Entered and/or completed payment batches within NextGen software.
• Understanding and able to interpret insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) Remittances Advice.
• Payment Posting terminologies like patient payments to accounts, insurance payments and adjustments to patient accounts according to client contractual agreements, denial codes to patient accounts when received from insurance EOB's and refer accounts as necessary to management.
• Having conceptual knowledge of lockbox, internal audits, error correction, and knowledge in denial posting.
