  • The Data Hub has capabilities to support modern lambda architecture and can offer the ability to create analytical results, save data reliably for historical analysis and be a trusted central repository for enterprise master data. In order to do this, there must be the ability to consume and make sense of incoming data with consistently low latency as well as the ability to push data and insights back out to the channels and systems subscribing to them.
  • The Data Hub is modern data platform built using CDH 5.11 that resides on AWS Cloud Infrastructure. The Hub enables to ingest large volumes of data from a variety of source business applications. For example, the hub holds 20 years of bookings data from the reservation business domain. Currently the latency of ingestion is daily batches (with few exceptions of more frequent batch ingestion). New real time streaming ingestion are being developed sidewise. By defining Data Zones (as per data sensitivity), the Hub governs data flow through Data Engineering processes and delivers data for various consumption patterns across enterprise. The Hub enables Data Analysts to perform data exploration and self-service analysis. The Hub also caters data to the needs of Data Scientists for executing advanced predictive analytics. The first set of Data products iteration are Single Booking View and Single Customer View delivered through the Hub for servicing EasyJet customers.

  • COMCAST is the largest cable operator, one of the biggest mass media, home Internet service providers, and the third largest home telephone service provider in the United States, providing cable television, broadband Internet, telephone service and in some areas, home security to both the residential and commercial customers in 40 states and the District of Columbia.
  • The Customer is embedding increased customer self-help capabilities into its products and services. One such solution, the Active Video Network Remote Control Help Solution is currently being piloted to 55,000 customers. In this project, TCS America will use its knowhow, experiences and TCS America analytical engines to determine the effectiveness of the AVN Remote Control Help capability and usage. TCS America will glean insights through the correlation of the activity of AVN Remote Control Help customers with other the customer data sources. Potential data sources that COM may make available for this correlation analysis includes IVR call data, GrandSlam data, Einstein data, EDW data, NDW data, OnTrack data and other similar sources.
  • The analysis performed will seek to understand and positively shape the impact of this newly-introduced capability on relevant COM business metrics, such as the average number of monthly calls to COM Customer Care Centers, First Call Resolution (FCR) Rate, Call Average Handling Time (AHT), and similar such metrics as appropriate. Generally, the analyses will seek to understand the impact on customer experience.

  • The Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission is a Non-Departmental Public Body established to take responsibility for the child maintenance system in Great Britain. In February 2006, the UK Government announced a twin-track approach to the reform of child maintenance: a three-year Operational Improvement Plan to stabilize the performance of the existing Child Support Agency (CSA), alongside a longer-term redesign of the child maintenance system. The Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission was established in July 2008, charged with completing the operational improvement Plan and delivering the second phase of reform: the fundamental redesign of the child maintenance system.
  • The overall objective of the Commission is ‘to maximize the number of those children who live apart from one or both parents for whom effective child maintenance arrangements are in place’. The Commission identified three core functions to deliver its objective through the new system of child maintenance:
  • Promoting the financial responsibility that parents have to their children;
  • Providing information and support about the different child maintenance options available to parents; and
  • Providing an efficient statutory maintenance service with effective enforcement.
  • Responsibilities:
  • To own the DW models (OLAP) for the MI solution.
  • To create and maintain the various OLAP model star schemas.
  • To analyze and assess the Data Item Register given by business to develop the reporting capabilities and identification of the necessary facts and dimensions.
  • To interact with clients while reporting requirements are shaping up, involve with the report design team (BICC) to finalize the layout.

  • Project Description:
  • Openreach is a division of the British telecommunications operator BT Group, established after BT reached an agreement with OFCOM to implement certain undertakings, pursuant to the Enterprise Act 2002, after OFCOM’s strategic review of telecommunications.
  • The division was created to “Ensure that all rival operators have equality of access to BT’s own local network”. The local network or “access network” is the wiring connecting customers to their local telephone exchange, starting at the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) in the exchange and ending at the network termination point (NTP) at the end user’s premises. Openreach also manages the connections between the MDF and the BT Wholesale/Local Loop Unbundling (LLU) termination points located in the exchange, often referred to as jumper connections, and Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) lines for other Customer Providers (CP) in telecom business.
  • The project provides a tactical solution for BT to maintain the data for Openreach customer’s by migrating and synchronizing the customer data from legacy systems like CSS and COSMOSS and to be loaded onto the strategic CRM systems like Openreach LLU and WLR Siebel. The customer data comprises of various logical entities like Address, Asset, Billing accounts and Retailer ID information’s, for witch daily batch processes and some continuous processes are responsible to keep all the information’s into account. However, the latest focus of the project was on the Migration jobs for all Openreach Installation including BT lines to move towards a more complex canonically hierarchical model so that it can support more features per asset catering to the various possible products which all the CP’s provide to its customers across UK.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Involve in the business requirements gathering process and bring clarity whenever necessary.
  • Discuss the Data Mapping framework with the Lead Solution Designers.
  • Study the e2e business requirements and come up with solution from component level.
  • Analyzing the impact on the other components by a proposed change on the component.
  • Study the relationship between the data elements identified in the legacy and the strategic systems.

  • Project Description:
  • The project aims to prepare a single interface model (SIM) repository for BT Retail’s customers which would include data for domestic and business customers to have the 360-degree view of one customer. The data would be fetched from several sources in BT, and would comprise the full range of entities like billing accounts, addresses, sites, assets, contacts, consumers etc. The data loaded onto SIM will then be used to feed two databases, OneSiebel and OneView, served by Siebel GUIs. These data repositories are mainly used for central data hub for the entire peripheral component, to govern the data quality and integrity.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Involve in the ETL development of the entities by understanding the requirement
  • Preparing the test cases with the design understanding and to review.
  • Testing of the new/changed processes with a data setup covering all the possible scenarios
  • Developed a Unix shell based testing tool which was highly appreciated in the project.
  • Loading the test data onto several test Siebel environments to support the e2e test.
  • Configuration management and version control of the dev/test and live environments.
