Currently working at Compact Strip Mill (HSM1) in Electrical & Instrumentation dept. as shift engineer at level 1 automation and look after following things:-

1. Governance:

• Ensure adherence to all safety SOPs and regulations within the shift.
• Maintain safety observation records and ensure compliance
• Review and update SOPs, JSA, and LOTO procedures regularly.

2. Execution:

• Execute daily maintenance operations to ensure equipment health and operational readiness.
• Maintain MTBF and MTTR targets.
• Supervise preventive maintenance activities.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and quality enhancement (QIP/QC projects, Kaizen).
• Track and report daily maintenance KPIs, ensure DWM board updates, and maintain CAP-DO sheets.
• Implement safety improvements such as adding safety guards and conducting regular safety audits.
• Coordinate for spare part availability.

3. People:

• Identify and address training needs for maintenance personnel to enhance technical skills.
• Develop and execute training plans aligned with maintenance and safety requirements.
• Maintain a training calendar and conduct regular sessions on equipment repair, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and optimize spare parts management to minimize downtime.

• In this training I have learnt estimation and market sizing, giving advice and Q-matrix framework and Work breakdown structure for project planning.
• Solving different case studies using an analytical approach and then giving appropriate advice.
• Followed by paid internship.

Attended different classroom lectures on topics like safety, Coal to electricity, different electrical components in a TPP, etc. Followed by a thermal power plant visit, mainly EMD dept., switch yard, and testing lab.
