TITLE : AWARENESS OF DIABETES MELLITUS - A CHRONICLE OF COMPLICATION.

Got selected for undergrad medical research and scholarship programme under DR.YSRUHS, Andhra Pradesh, under the mentorship of Dr. ANJANEYA PRASAD, Professor and Head of the department, general medicine. This research was mainly focused on assessment of awareness of complications of diabetes mellitus among patients suffering from the same.

TITLE: ETIOLOGICAL FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO HYPERTHYROIDISM

Assisted in conducting research study under the mentorship of Dr. ANIL KUMAR, professor in the department of general surgery, along side a colleague.

This study was mainly focused on percentages of the etiological factors contributing to the development of hyperthyroidism (A Retrospective study). This research got selected for the undergrad medcial research and scholarship programme under Dr. YSRUHS, AndhraPradesh.

• Did clinical rotations in various departments (general Medicine (3months), General surgery (3months), Obstetrics and Gynaecology (3 months), Paediatrics (2 months), Psychiatry (1 month), Ophthalmology (2 months), ENT (2 months), Community Medicine (3months)) starting right from the 2nd year of Medical school.
• Worked as an intern in departments of Neurosurgery(10 days), Paediatric surgery(10 days), Plastic surgery(10 days), intensive care unit (15 days), Emergency medicine(15 days).
• Completed daily rounds to check on patients and identify any reasons for concern.
• Shadowed resident physicians, taking notes and asking questions.
• Built strong foundation in medical practice by contributing to different areas of patient care and administrative practice.
• Wrote detailed and professional progress notes for each patient, outlining notable events and examinations findings.
• Monitored and recorded patient progress, prompting timely and appropriate interventions.
• Shadowed emergency medical services team in emergency room setting and during field response.
• Responded to medical emergencies to help stabilize and treat patients.
• Coordinated and integrated health care resources for community-based programs.
• Advised patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene and disease prevention.
• Educated patients and families on health conditions to raise awareness.
• Prepared project presentations and reports to assist senior staff. Completed research, compiled data, updated spreadsheets, and produced timely reports.

• Conducted campaigns in various rural areas regarding awareness of breast cancer (self assessment and examination of breast on a regular basis)
• Conducted talks and awareness programmes regarding of poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) among medical students and nursing students.

worked as a tutor in the non governmental organisation (make a difference) which works in providing shelter homes for children to help tutor in the subject of english and mathematics for 6 to 7th grade children.
