Loan recovery and Payment collection-
- Contact customer with overdue payments via phone calls, emails etc for repayment of the loan on time
- Remind customers about their repayment and negotiate for payment schedule
- Liaise with collection executives and put together a schedule for payment collection from customers by the executives.
- Cash collection - the amount collected by the executives should be updated in the system and handed over to the bank teller for record updating.
Account Monitoring -
- Regularly monitor accounts for overdue loans in terms of consumer durables. Update customer data on payments, and maintain a tracker and MIS on a monthly basis.
- Present the cheque for payment.
Customer Relationship Management-
- Handle customer queries and grievances related to overdue accounts in a professional manner.
- Build trust and ensure customers understand the importance of timely payment.
Reporting and Coordination:
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on collection progress
- Collaborate with internal teams like credit and legal department for escalated cases
- Provide feedback to management on customer issues and repayments trends
Legal and Escalation activities:
- Initiate legal proceedings against defaulters when necessary
- Liaise with recovery agents and law enforcement agencies if required
