- I am working in the Market Reference Data department at Société Générale
- Process involves set-up and maintenance of Equity, Index, and Fixed Income and Forex instruments directly impacting client central and accounting engines
- Pivotal role in performing four eye checks and daily BAU, critical tasks, and Month-end inventory pricing
- Role demanded timely SOP updates and established best practices to overcome discrepancies and data quality issues
- Co-ordinating with the Middle Office and Front Office in Bi-Monthly governance calls to resolve Reference data issues such as inconsistent reference data, pricing, and inconsistent cashflows
- Challenging the data vendors on the price in case of inconsistent prices contributed from external vendor sources
- Maintaining transparency in providing Management Information (MI) and Key Performing Indicators (KPIs) trackers to the Middle Office
- Maintaining daily team meeting presentations to discuss the inconsistent static data issues, identify the gap in the process, and pave the path to implementing best practices to overcome the issues
- Make recommendations on process improvements, involving recommendations for development/enhancement in the application, and pave the way to decommissioning a task
- Work closely with the team to capture end-to-end Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of the issues and maintain the error tracker for the team
- Ensure teamwork culture is practiced by participating in extracurricular activities – Badminton and Cricket league.

- I worked in the Investment Risk and Analytical Service department in Northern Trust
- Majorly there were three tasks that we performed i.e
- Onboarding Index data, creating / setting, and pricing the Indices
- Worked closely with data providers in licensing and contracting to procure the Index data as per the client’s requirement
- Responsible for setup the Indices on and daily basis once the license is procured for the client
- Ensuring all the Indices / Benchmark prices have been contributed within the agreed time from various vendor sources in our system
- Contributing the price for Indices /Benchmarks by procuring the price from Reuters / Bloomberg if in case there is no contribution from an external vendor source
- Ensuring the client has a license before providing access to Index data
- Notifying the users as and when there is a price revision from the vendor source
- Handled complex queries such as Index residuals i.e
- Index level v/s Constituents level price mismatch, Index price mismatch, country level, and sector level weights mismatch, and corporation action and its impact on Index
- Responsible for ensuring the data quality by performing the data quality checkpoints per the standard protocol.
