I am a hard working individual academically as well as professionally. I am currently aiming to start my research in Caribbean Studies within Indo-Sino Caribbean Literature Area. Due to my daily encounter with people from diverse backgrounds I have grown to be more sensitive towards the underprivileged and marginalized section of society whether on the basis of sex, race, or class therefore indenture labour would be a major part of my research along with other areas.
I founded 'Pledge A Smile Foundation' with two other members in 2016 a Non-Profit Organization aiming to help as many underprivileged lives as possible. We provide daily amenities (food, clothing, hygiene kit), help in providing government identity documents, bank accounts and any judicial assistance if required for the underprivileged.
Projects:-
Project Muskaan- Provided stationary and paid fees of over 10,000 students who were on verge of dropping out when their parents (daily wage labour) lost job during Covid-19 lockdown and orphans.
Project Noori- Provided 25,000 sanitary kits and organized workshops for women laborers, girls at orphanage, and underprivileged girls in schools. Sanitary kit contained - menstrual pads/cups, soap, intimate wash.
Project Seva- Daily food requirements of 50,000 per day wage laborers are met by providing them raw material with wheat flour, rice, and pulses.
Project Raahat- Blankets and jackets during winter for underprivileged people sleeping on roadside, shelters for poor, laborers.
I even organized other minor projects to provide flood, earthquake, and other natural calamity reliefs to the needy all over India.
