• Worked on full vehicle integration for the client Stellantis, which includes INCLUDE level finalization and integration (RIGID patch and MERGE SET method).
• Collecting the FE models from the modeling team, and supporting documents from the counterpart.
• Validating the subsystems and verifying the merge set or rigid patch approach.
• Addressing the doubts faced by the engineers regarding modeling and other queries.
• Delivering the debugged model from 120 ms to the counterpart, along with all the supporting documentation.
• Responsible for the full vehicle build and performing all mandatory checks before delivering the model.
• The project involved debugging activities such as weld validations, spot conflicts, etc.
• Comparing Fe results with physical results.
• Checking the model with energy curves and deformation.
• Preparing the report and discussing it with the designer for better output.

Model analysis for Closures

• Run the model after completing the proper checks, such as free, duplicate, Nastran dependency, model data error, and Nastran loop.
• Opti is checking for the quality of the model in the outfile.
• Check the normal modes in HYPERVIEW.
• To identify the unconnected parts and their connections.

Body-In-Prime integration for Durability/NVH

• The project involves body-in-prime development of car, bus, and van models for various milestones across the FNA region.
• Gauge and grade modifications are done, referring to the EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials).
• Bolt connection for sheet metal parts, structural GOR, bolster, subframe, mounts, tunnel brace, and bumpers done with C-bar diameter representing the actual fastener size.
• De-penetration activity is carried out for dura, and the model is cleared for 90% contact thickness.
• Spot-weld connections are represented as RBE3-hexa-RBE3 (ACM2) based on the client input file. Debugging of spot welds is done for connectivity.
• For Dura, seam weld and laser weld are modeled as shell elements based on guidelines, with consideration for weld type, weld leg width, orientation, and weld thickness.
• Glass bonding, structural adhesive, mastics, and anti-flutter are represented as ACM2 connections with properties based on guidelines.
• BIP weight should be summarized and compared against legacy.

Sheet metal and solid meshing for durability, NVH

• Meshing for various automobile parts, contributing to body-in-prime and closures, has been carried out.
• The model downloaded from the Team Center client is delegated to the meshing team. Work estimation for the same will be done and communicated to the team.
• Responsible for reviewing the meshed components against customer guidelines.
• Proper checks were done based on the Lessons Learned document to meet the FE mesh quality requirement.
• Worked for Ford client and has interacted with architects to obtain critical design information necessary to complete projects within intended timeframes.
