Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess patients and their clinical requirements to ensure the correct radiographic techniques are being used.
- Perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high quality images.
- Take responsibility for radiation safety in the working area including checking equipment for malfunctions and errors.
- Inform to the relevant authority if there are any faults in the equipment.
- Manage referrals to ensure patients receive a radiation dose as low as reasonable possible.
- Collaborate and help in more complex radiological examinations, working with medical staff such a radiologists and surgeons.
- Provide support and reassurance to patients, taking into account their physical and psychological needs.
- Supervise radiography and imaging support assistants.
- Keep up to date with health and safety guidelines, including ionizing radiation regulation, to protect everyone.
- I have the knowledge about IR(ME)R 2017 radiation safety protocol and guidelines.

EXPERIENCE in Plain film (X-RAY)- Experienced in CR and DR systems can do all routine, ICU x-ray includes (Chest X-ray, Abdomen AP, erect, supine, lateral decubitus, Skull, PNS, spine, extremities and joints)., image processing networking and image documentation.
EXPERIENCE in CT - Can do all routine plain and contrast studies and angiography. CT Coronary Angiogram (Cardiac CT), CT Pulmonary Angiogram, Bolus Tracking/Smart Prep Method, Routine scans such as brain, PNS, spine, orbit, abdomen, chest, joints, extremities, HRCT temporal bone & Chest & carotid, hepatic, abdominal, renal, aortogram, venogram, virtual bronchoscopy, colonoscopy with 3D reconstruction, CT Peripheral Angiography (Runoff), CECT Abdomen Triple phase (for Liver) and Dual phase, CT Urogram, CT guided FNAC/Biopsy.
