Experienced Resident Medical Officer adept at assessing and diagnosing conditions with a special focus in structural heart disease and complex coronary interventions . Offering >8 years of progressive experience in patient care. Pursuing a new professional challenge with room for advancement.
I am working as a Senior Resident (3 years course) in the department of Cardiology under Prof. Dr. R K Nath, DM, FESC, FACC, FSCAI and Prof. Dr. Ajay Raj, DM, and performed more than 50 PCI cases and pacemakers independently. I have also assisted in more than 1000 coronary and Electrophysiology interventions for the last 2.5 years. I also have the experience of managing acute Cardiology patients in CCU for more than 2.5 years. I have also conducted research (dissertation) under my faculty and my field of interest is complex coronary interventions and structural heart disease.
I have worked as a Specialist medical officer in the department of Medicine in Nabadwip State General Hospital, West Bengal, for a year. There I had the experience of managing in-patients as well as outdoor patients independently after my post graduation in Internal Medicine. Being posted in a peripheral hospital, I have worked with minimal infrastructural support , which proved to be a huge learning experience for me.
I did my postgraduation (MD) in Internal Medicine from R G Kar Medicoz College, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Apurba Kumar Mukherjee and have the experience of managing all sorts of medical emergencies. I actively took part in the treatment process of the in-patients under supervision of the faculty (intake > 50 patients per week). I also have the experience of working in subspecialty departments of Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology Gastroenterology and Nephrology during my training period (combined more than a year). I have conducted research under my guide’s supervision.
I worked as a non-academic junior resident in the department of Neurlogy for 6 months and I have the experience of managing Neurological emergencies as well as in-patients.
Examining medical histories
I have passed MRCP(UK) part I & II papers in 2017. I am yet to sit for PACES this November.
