  • Manage a team of Middle Office Operations including recruiting, coaching, training, and performance management. Responsible for providing supportive and effective management to staff with team size of 12 full-time Trade and Forex Specialist within all areas of responsibility. Also, in charge in ensuring the staff complies with all required boundaries and code of conduct.
  • Primary escalation contact point for complex issues; demonstrated ability to resolve escalations in a timely manner.
  • Manage client goals, expectations, interactions, and assign resources accordingly.
  • Responsibility for service quality results for team to ensure ongoing quality review, documentation and reporting is conducted. Ensure key quality results are provided to process leaders and vendor partners in a timely and clear manner.
  • Ensure that members of staff have all the training they need to consistently deliver what is expected of them.
  • Attending and contributing to regular senior management meeting by making practical suggestions.
  • Creating and maintaining all aspects of Human Resources administrative system, payroll, contracts & timesheets.

  • My day to day role predominantly involves overseeing matching trades via OMGEO CTM/Finastra and then following the trade process through to settlement by liaising with Brokers and Custodians as well as our various clients to ensure that trades settle in a timely manner. Failed and unmatched trade reporting to our clients is also a daily requirement.
  • Ensure client's trades are matched against the broker's by obtaining CTM or manual confirmations. Perform middle office activities such as Affirmation (Tradesuite) and Confirmation (CTM).
  • Pre and Post settlements of Bonds, Asset Liability Management (CD, CP, ALM, Repo and Outright trades).
  • Responsible for settlement of Equity and Fixed Income trades. Carried out Pre and Post Settlement functions which involve Pre-matching/Affirmation to avoid fails, investigation and settlement of trades.
  • For REPO & Reverse REPO trades use of front office application such as Apex for checking start & end leg. Processing repo in Gloss and sending swift messages to different clearing system such as DTC, Clearstream, Euroclear. Agreeing pair off repos with counterparty and sending payments.
  • Extensive knowledge in movement of Fed Collateral to clients account through BNY BDC and approving the transaction and providing IMAD reference to counterparty.
  • Sending SWIFT for Buy, Sell, Receive free and Delivery free (MT541, MT543, MT540 & MT542) and checking trade details and settlement confirmations (MT548).
  • Generating reports for fails & unmatched trades of the various markets on the daily basis. Analysis of high risk fails and overall settlement success percentage, fails spread and amount by age category.
  • Distribute fail reports to traders, salespeople, and Treasury team daily to keep reserve money in case the trade settles. Researching on trades which are not recognized by counter party and checking with middle office if the trade is valid and following the escalation matrix to make sure that trade settled on the same day or cancelled.
