Development of a Home Automation System Prototype, IFB Industries, Home Appliance Division, Goa, 01/2015 - 06/2015, Network Embedded with C Language, RASPBIAN OS, Code Composer Studio, Android Studio IDE, X CTU, Teraterm, Realterm, WinSCP, PuTTy, Development of a Home Automation System Prototype using wireless technologies, where machines exchange information automatically and they are able to support us in various tasks. To study the key challenges faced on bringing the home appliance (at least one) into home automated environment and plotting the additional advantages the user can have with the home appliance in home automated environment. Prototype includes Washing Machine (WM), Over Head Tank (OHT), Central Home Server, Smart phone and Lights. Its a centralized system in a Wi-Fi network, where devices like Washing Machine, Over Head Tank and smart phone are acting as clients will continuously get information from home server and also give their acknowledgement messages back to server. The Controlling of Lights is done in Zigbee Network. User with Android App. has the flexibility to control and monitor the devices in Wi-Fi network and here user smart phone in Wi-Fi network has the ability to control the devices in Zigbee Network. Automated in such a way that if water for washing machine is over then home server will automatically turn ON motor of Over Head Tank for water and giving message a popup to user that No water condition has occurred and motor ON activity has happened. We can also even set time so that washing machine can be paused for that preset time. Here we have used Raspberry Pi B+ as a Home Server, TI's SimpleLink CC3200 for Wi-Fi support to devices (WM and OHT) and XBee S2 modules for Zigbee network based lights.

Implemented the Robot using AT89C51ED2 Microcontroller board, DTMF decoder, DC motors and a cell phone.
