- Associated with the planning, negotiating & procuring of the Rubber compounding ingredients (70 % Import and 30 % Domestic procurement Profile) and other engineering items as per the monthly requirement of the plant, development of new raw material sources for the commercial benefit of the company along with technical benefit as per guided by the technical team of the organization, coordinating for the usage & introduction of the new raw materials for the development of products
- Coordinate and attend Weekly/Monthly meetings with the Vendors for the Contract (ARC) in-time delivery of materials and confirm purchase order details as per purchase strategies and procedures
- Booking of the import consignments as per the tentative planning received from plant and marketing team
- Handling of Import documentation part, knowledge of duty structure
- Preparation of NDA, Bank LC, High seas contract, BG contract knowledge
- Communicate with Finance and Store department to ensure accurate GRN and timely payment of invoices
- Floating inquiry (RFQ), Techno-commercial evaluation of quotation/offers & negotiation with suppliers/contractors for finalization of work orders or purchase orders
- Preparation of Orders, material follow-up, Inventory analysis, material stock updates, monthly MIS data, supervising & controlling the inbound /outbound logistics processes
- Carry out vendor audits half yearly/ yearly at vendor premises to maintain vendor relationships and build effective business relationships to get appropriate quality of goods and specifications with respect to the company standards
- Leading a team of 2 personnel & deals with procurement of approx Rs. 200 Cr annually
- Oversee the functional aspects of job work and outsourcing operations
- Collaborating with RM Planning to ensure timely production schedules are met
