Currently handling a number of brands in the UK- Wyse, Aspiga, Boohoo-Debenhams, ASOS (shipping through Bangladesh). A mix of boutique and high street fashion. Have handled business worth 70cr a year pre-pandemic.
Work very closely with the buyers as well as suppliers.
Working on getting more brands in the mix.
Key roles and responsibilities-
Business performance- ensuring the business target of the vertical is achieved for the FY, highlighting deviations quarterly.
Service performance and management-
- optimum management of the supplier's blocked capacities.
- ensuring the business allocation is in line with the planned business and with the supplier's capabilities/ product strength/ capacity.
- ensuring atleast 90% on time delivery performance is achieved.
- ensuring claims and air freights are brought to a minimum.
Business development-
- strategizing growth in existing businesses by constantly tapping into newer categories within the brands. Also, continuing to better services to the buyers by improving prices, keeping up the communication, providing effective solutions at all times.
- strategizing getting new businesses in the mix. Reaching out to new brands, presenting product, offering competitive prices.
- Travelling often to the UK to ensure a constant dialogue and ground to build relationships with the buyers- existing and new.
Customer and Supplier management-
- Customer- relationship management, providing quick and effective solutions-quality/ technical/aesthetics.
- Supplier- capacity management.
Team management-
- Handling a team of 5 people across merchandising and design.
- Ensuring delegation of work adequately and motivation at all times.
- Constant evaluation of the implementation of SOPs by the team.
