Project for Catalyst Production, JMC- Kanpur
Client: Johnson Matthey India Pvt. Ltd
Scope/Description:
• Johnson Matthey India Pvt. Ltd a leading Chemical Catalyst and absorbent manufacturers for setting up Three Process Plant along with Utility structure and Storage sheds.
• Process plant namely —
· Colt Plant - 60MX40MX48M - Structural steel for super structure approximately 1500 MT.
· Replica Plant - 30MX40MX26M - Structural steel for super structure approximately 500 MT.
· Plant 123 - Process Plant of size 25x40MX22M — Structural steel in superstructure of Approximate weight 450 MT.
• All the steel was prefabricated in a shop at Kota Rajasthan and transported to Kanpur. •Storage shed was a PEB structure.
• Approximately 1000 T of equipment and around 600 Instrument were installed for the project.

• Vikram Ispat Ltd (Unit of Grasim Industries Ltd) now owned by JSW (Jindal Steel Works). A Sponge Iron project with Davy Dravo as technological partner.
• The project estimated cost was around 600 crores.
• Major structure: Main Reactor - 60MX40MXIOOM – RCC + Structural Tower -10000 MT involves around total weight around 10000MT.
• Cross Country Conveyors around 3.50 KM in length and approximately 3500 MT of structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Main Pipe rack- RCC + Structural steel.
• Structural steel fabrication around 2000 MT.
• Site grading- Filling of earth from outside is around 650000 cum and cutting is around 450000 cu m including cutting of Hard rock around 300000 cum.
• Roads and Drains- Internal roads around 25000 sq. m and RCC SW drain AROUND 7 KM.
