Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff 3 at NetApp India, focusing on enhancing storage system data protection and reliability.

  • SnapMirror Active/Active and Active/Passive Project: NetApp feature that provides continuous availability and zero data loss for applications and data replicate through synchronous replication. To achieve this, I developed both Planned Failover and Unplanned Failover, enabling seamless migration of application to another site.
  • SnapMirror Multinode Support Project: This enables coordination of SnapMirror operations across multiple nodes in a cluster, ensuring consistent replication of workloads that span nodes.
  • Consistency Group Expand Project: This allows volumes to be added to an existing SnapMirror consistency group relationship without requiring reinitialization, reducing operational overhead and improving flexibility.
  • Cloud Mediator Project: This project focused on enabling seamless coordination and health monitoring between on-premises storage clusters. This service acts as a third-party arbitration and monitoring component (or “mediator”) to support automated failover, especially for SnapMirror Business Continuity (SM-BC).

Key Contributions:

  • Obtained a patent for a significant reduction in IO resumption time from 30 seconds to 15 seconds in ONTAP system, showcasing innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Recognized with three spot awards for exceptional performance and contributions to team success.
  • Engaged in troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues to improve overall system efficiency.
